Power ups are temporary run effects reported in current Flatten The Mountain gameplay. The best-documented example is 2X Money, which a September 1, 2026 community guide describes as doubling cash while active. The complete list, spawn rules, duration, stacking, pause behavior, and interaction with ores or chests are not creator-documented.
When a power-up appears, read the current label and timer before changing your route. Use the effect on dense reachable work, and keep its result separate from ordinary mining so a short boost does not become a false permanent cash rate.
Recognize and record a power-up
Watch for a pickup, icon, banner, multiplier label, timer, or changed effect during the run. Record where it appeared, how it was activated, the exact display name, start time, end time, and which visible resources changed.
Do not name an effect from color or animation alone. If the interface says 2X Money, that supports a cash multiplier for the displayed period. It does not automatically establish increased gems, chest contents, pickaxe power, automation damage, or completion rewards.
If the effect begins during a cash sample, end the normal sample and start a boosted one. This preserves both results and lets you calculate practical value without mixing conditions.
Currently documented power-up index
2X Money
Type: temporary cash multiplier reported by a current community guide.
Best use: continue mining dense, reachable, valuable blocks while the live timer runs.
Unknown: exact duration, spawn, stacking, menu pause, and every affected reward source.
Checked: September 1, 2026.
Other power ups
Status: no complete creator-published list found.
Action: record the exact live name, effect text, timer, source, and outcome.
Do not add: guessed speed, luck, damage, or gem effects based on genre conventions.
The index remains intentionally small because one documented example does not authorize invented companions. New entries should come from a current visible interface or creator announcement.
Route during 2X Money
Before the effect begins, maintain a compact mining lane with several reachable blocks. When the multiplier appears, avoid opening the Skill Tree or store unless the timer visibly pauses. Mine continuously and choose ore only when it lies close enough that the detour does not consume the bonus.
Let Drones and Turrets continue their normal work, but confirm whether automated cash is affected before claiming it. If the total balance rises faster, compare mountain progress and manual actions too. A rich ore cluster can create a similar spike without proving automation is doubled.
Record starting and ending cash for the boosted period. Compare it with a normal sample from the same layer and upgrade state. The practical improvement may differ from exactly two times because movement, target availability, party actions, and interruptions also change.
Ores, chests, and gems during a boost
Special ore may be attractive during a money multiplier, but compare reward with travel and break time. Read the current popup. Do not apply a historical Gold or Emerald value to the present server.
End the cash sample before opening a buried chest. A chest may award gems or another result outside ordinary money, and the checked material does not establish that 2X Money affects it. Check each balance separately.
Likewise, do not claim doubled gems because the word “money” appears. Gems are a separate reported currency connected with chests and the lobby store. Only a visible before-and-after result can establish an interaction.
Test duration and pause behavior
Start a timer when the icon or banner appears and stop when it disappears or the result returns to normal. Record whether the game provides its own countdown. Repeat at least twice before treating the duration as stable.
To test menus safely, open a short non-purchase panel while several seconds remain and watch the timer. Do not spend the entire effect inside a menu. A timer can continue in real time, pause locally, or behave differently after an update.
Test server leave and rejoin only with an effect you can afford to lose. The checked public sources do not establish persistence. Assume temporary power ups can expire or disappear until the game says otherwise.
Test stacking without guessing
If a second pickup appears, record whether the timer resets, extends, creates another icon, changes the multiplier, or produces no visible change. Do not call the result 4X unless the interface or measured cash supports it.
Separate identical-effect stacking from combining different effects. A refreshed duration is not the same as a stronger multiplier. Use the exact current labels and preserve the order of activation.
Power-up decision card
Power-up mistakes
Do not publish a complete list from one pickup. Do not claim a fixed duration from a clipped video. Do not compare boosted cash with an ordinary route and give the difference to a Skill Tree node. Do not assume timers pause or effects stack.
The eagle can interrupt a power-up. Safety and preserving the run are more important than a few boosted seconds. Record the interruption rather than pretending the sample remained normal.
Power-up FAQ
What power ups are in Flatten The Mountain?
The currently documented example is 2X Money from a September 1 community guide. No complete creator-published list was found.
How long does 2X Money last?
The checked evidence does not establish a stable duration. Read the current timer and record several pickups under the same version.
Does 2X Money affect ores?
Test the current ore popup and compare equivalent blocks. Do not assume the multiplier covers every source simply because ore awards cash.
Can power ups stack?
Stacking, refreshing, and extension rules are not established. Observe the icon, timer, label, and result when a second effect appears.
