Flatten The Mountain Mountain Layers

Track Flatten The Mountain layers with current clear messages and progress displays, adapt upgrades at each transition, and finish stranded blocks.

Mountain layers are the practical checkpoints of a Flatten The Mountain run. Current community gameplay checked September 1, 2026 shows numbered clear banners such as a layer being cleared. Use those messages with the live height or progress display to judge the route. The checked official sources do not publish a fixed total layer count, per-layer block table, unlock order, or reward list.

Treat each transition as a fresh mining problem. New terrain can change block durability, ore visibility, chest exposure, Drone travel, Turret reach, and the best Player upgrade. A repeated purchase order is useful only while the same bottleneck remains.

Read the layer-clear feedback

Watch for a banner, progress change, height change, surface drop, or new block field after the last block in a section is removed. Record the exact displayed layer number and message. Do not infer a missing number when the screen is obscured by an eagle event, menu, or reward.

After the message, stop briefly and scan the new surface. Identify ordinary blocks, possible ore, buried objects, holes, edges, and zones covered by automation. Note whether Drones and Turrets immediately acquire targets or wait for you to open terrain.

Use the current display to measure remaining work. A video progressing into the teens or twenties does not prove the permanent total. Continue until the live experience gives a completion result.

Progress
What number, height, or percentage is visible?
Record it before mining the new surface.
The total equals a number from another run.

Did appearance or break time change?
Test a few ordinary blocks before spending.
The same color has identical durability forever.

Are ore or buried chests exposed?
Record live results separately from the baseline.
Every layer has a fixed reward.

Can Drones and Turrets reach useful targets?
Open paths or address the current downtime.

Build a layer record

For each clear, note the displayed number, start and end time, party state, pickaxe, major Skill Tree upgrades, unusual ores, chests, power-ups, eagle downtime, and completion message. Count blocks only when the current interface or a careful recording makes it practical.

Do not call the record a complete layer database until the full current mountain has been observed and repeated. A missing layer may be a recording gap, group skip, update difference, or interface display issue.

Use the record to compare your own transitions. If one layer takes much longer, inspect block behavior and automation rather than assuming a hidden difficulty spike.

Adapt upgrades at a new layer

Mine a small sample before spending. If ordinary blocks now take more hits, test relevant damage. If drones travel across a wider surface, speed or range may matter. If Turrets lose targets as the surface drops, open terrain or inspect coverage before buying Rate. If manual travel grows, Mine Distance or a compact route can help.

Another Drone or Turret can add coverage when the new layer has enough simultaneous reachable work. Near the end of a thin layer, improving existing sources or clearing manually may provide better payback than another unit.

Keep the goal visible: layer time, total progress, cash, or completion. A purchase can improve cash while not solving stranded blocks, and a distance node can improve completion while producing little direct payout change.

Find the last blocks in a layer

When progress stops near a clear, rotate the camera and inspect edges, corners, holes, lower faces, and blocks hidden behind effects or units. Watch where Drones travel and where Turrets aim; they can reveal a remaining target but can also fixate on something outside your view.

Move systematically around the perimeter rather than jumping randomly. Clear obstructions that prevent target access. If a buried chest or object occupies space, confirm whether nearby mountain blocks remain.

Do not assume the layer is bugged until you have checked the full surface and allowed automation to retarget. Rejoin only after recording the current state, because a server change may reset or alter progress.

Ores and chests by layer

Current community guidance says special ores appear as players dig and shows buried-chest encounters, but a complete fixed layer map is not established. Attach each find to the visible current layer and date.

One ore or chest on a layer proves presence under that run’s conditions, not a guaranteed spawn. Compare several runs before publishing a repeat pattern. Keep reward values on the item page so layer structure and economy can update independently.

If a chest appears during the last-block search, end the cash sample, expose it, record the reward, and then finish the layer. Do not count the chest as a standard layer-clear reward.

Group layer progress

In a group, confirm whether everyone sees the same clear message and whether progress is shared. Record party size using the actual current lobby, not only public server capacity or community leaderboard labels.

Divide the surface into zones to reduce duplicate mining. At the checkpoint, compare who owns automation and whether cash or upgrades are personal. A faster group clear does not automatically mean every player receives equal income or completion credit.

Completion boundary

Continue following the live progress until the mountain is flattened and the sun objective is restored. Record the final message, time, rewards, reset, lobby return, replay option, and any newly accessible route. The checked official description confirms the goal but not the exact current outcome.

Do not infer that a public universe place such as The Moon is unlocked by completion. A place name in Roblox metadata does not prove player access or a reward route. Require a visible portal, button, or creator announcement.

Layers FAQ

How many layers are in Flatten The Mountain?

No stable creator-published total was found. Use the current layer-clear and progress display and record the completion boundary in your live run.

Do layers get harder?

Current community gameplay suggests changing depth and ore appearances, but a complete durability curve is not established. Test ordinary blocks at each transition.

Does every layer contain a chest?

No fixed chest-per-layer rule is supported. Record each find and repeat across several runs before identifying a pattern.

Why will my layer not clear?

Search edges, corners, holes, lower faces, blocked targets, and areas outside automation coverage. Observe unit targeting and clear remaining mountain blocks systematically.
