Current Flatten The Mountain community gameplay distinguishes ordinary stone from special ore blocks and names Copper, Gold, and Emerald. A September 1, 2026 guide reports examples where Gold showed +$40 and Emerald showed +$80. Those are dated observations from one guide, not guaranteed permanent payouts or a complete ore table.
Prioritize an ore when the current reward justifies the time to reach and break it. A high payout can still be poor farming if the block is far away, unusually durable, or causes your manual route and automation to idle.
Currently documented ore Dex

Role: special ore name reported in current gameplay.
Appearance, layer, durability, payout: current in-game observation required.
Use: compare reward per break time with stone.
Status: Community reported.
Gold
Role: special ore.
Dated example: `+$40` in one September 1 guide.

The order of the cards does not claim a full rarity or depth progression. Read the current visuals and cash popup. New ores may appear, and known examples may move or change after an update.
Record an ore correctly
Before breaking, note the visible name if the interface shows one, appearance, current layer or progress, location, active power-up, pickaxe, Player upgrades, party, and automation. Time the travel and break or count manual actions.
Read the cash popup and compare starting and ending cash. If a Drone, Turret, or teammate breaks another block at the same moment, the balance change may include more than the ore. Repeat on another example before assigning a value.
Keep exact values attached to the observation date and conditions. A screenshot without the surrounding route can show the popup but not durability, travel, multiplier, or another income source.
Compare reward per time
Use a simple decision: ore reward / (travel time + break time) versus ordinary cash earned in the same time. You do not need a perfect formula. The comparison explains why a nearby moderate ore can outperform a rare-looking block across the mountain.
Include the time your automation loses or gains. If you leave a zone already covered by Drones and Turrets to take an isolated ore manually, total progress may remain strong. If every system follows or idles during the detour, the true cost is larger.
Compare on the same layer when possible. Deeper blocks may require more work and can make a higher payout look worse or better depending on the formula.
Ore route priorities
Near the end of a layer, finishing stranded ordinary blocks can be more valuable than crossing for one ore because the clear unlocks the next terrain and keeps every system working.
Ores and 2X Money
A community guide reports a 2X Money power-up, but the exact interaction with each ore is not creator-documented. Record a normal ore and a boosted ore under comparable conditions. Check the popup and total balance, and keep other automated income in mind.
Do not assume gems or chest rewards are multiplied. Ores are part of the cash route, while gems are a separate reported currency. Label the boosted period and return to a normal baseline when the effect ends.
Ores across layers
Current community guidance says special ores appear as players dig deeper, but it does not provide a complete reliable layer map. Record first appearance and repeated appearances on your current server. One find establishes presence under those conditions, not a guaranteed unlock layer.
At each layer-clear message, rescan the new surface. Compare block appearance and break time before assuming a familiar color has the same value. Updates can alter visuals or balance without a detailed public changelog.
Ore mistakes
Do not copy Gold or Emerald sample payouts as permanent. Do not call Copper the lowest ore without a complete current table. Do not rank by color alone. Do not ignore durability and travel.
Avoid mixing an ore-rich sample with ordinary cash farming. Label it as a practical full-run result or create a separate ore test. This keeps Skill Tree comparisons honest.
Ores FAQ
What ores are in Flatten The Mountain?
Current community material names Copper, Gold, and Emerald alongside ordinary stone. The checked official surfaces do not publish a complete catalog.
How much are Gold and Emerald worth?
One September 1 guide shows Gold at +$40 and Emerald at +$80. Treat those as dated community examples and read the current popup in your server.
Which ore should I prioritize?
Choose by current reward divided by travel and break time. Nearby ore with a confirmed payout is usually safer than a long detour based on appearance.
Do ores appear on fixed layers?
A complete stable layer table is not established. Record first appearance and repeat results after each current layer transition.
